International Day of Pink - Courage 2023

The International Day of Pink is a worldwide anti-bullying and anti-homophobia day held during the second week of April. In partnership with Day of Pink and Canada’s Drag Race winner Icesis Couture, we launched the Courage Across Canada Tour with the goal to educate and to celebrate the resilience of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community over the past few years.

However, right before the tour was set to begin, schools began facing backlash and started dropping out one by one. For us, this became an opportunity to show what courage truly means. We responded with a documentary that had children from the community sit down with drag performers and discuss the meaning of courage and standing up for your beliefs. Our message was received with overwhelming support online and resulted in 35 drag performers traveling across Canada, 78 schools participating, and close to 400 volunteers.
